Achieving development and transitioning to a developed world requires a comprehensive road map encompassing various aspects of a country's economy, education, infrastructure, social systems and governance. While the path may differ for each country, however there is a specific roadmap  that can guide the jounery of Sri lanka toward a developed world. The criteria used  to determine whether a country is considerd developed can very depending on the source or organization assessing the  development status. However there are several common indicators and critria that are often used to evaluate the level of development of a country. These indicators are generally Gross Domestic Product(GDP), Human Development Index(HDI), Industrialization and Infrastrucure, Standard of Living and Political Stability and Governance.
