City 5 has selected prose and poetry from 45 South Asian authors and a special section focusing on contemporary short fiction and poetry from Sri Lanka. City 5 has a special focus on Sri Lankan  writing with 25 authors from the island nation featured in the issue. Contents include translations from Sinhala, Tamil, Nepali, Bengali and Urdu in addition to original English writing.
